Call out to IED members with access to 3D printing facilities

Posted on 01/04/2020 by IED

Mrs Swanepoel, D&T teacher from Balcarass School in Cheltenham has been working with the local NHS Cirencester Health Group to 3D print masks for use by the staff at the health centre.

She is sharing the files for anyone else out there who has access to a 3D printer and is able to manufacture masks for use by their local health centres. Big thanks to Mrs Swanepoel for sharing these with us. She says she's been printing in PLA and using the fastest print setting - 80mm/s with 10% infill.

If any of our members have the opportunity to print these masks please do - let us know how you are getting on!
