The Royal Academy of Engineering presents the Museum of Engineering Innovation

The Museum celebrates the often-unseen engineering that is all around us. It serves to shine a spotlight on the engineers that are making a difference to our everyday lives. Our mission? To inspire the next generation of engineers to be the difference.
On This is Engineering Day 2020, the Royal Academy of Engineering announced plans to develop a virtual Museum of Engineering Innovation, and launched a preview collection on Google Arts & Culture. Over the course of this year, their ambition is to expand the online collection, and link to these from QR codes (or ‘QRtefacts’) in everyday and unexpected locations across the country.
We’d love to hear from you about what engineering innovations – and the engineers behind them - you think should be included in the museum. We’re looking for innovations that broaden public perceptions of engineering, and that make a difference to our everyday lives or solve some of our greatest challenges. Anyone can nominate a potential exhibit; attached is a brief guide to explain how to do so.
The current round of nominations closes on 1 February, but we expect to open further rounds in the future and continue to grow the collection.
