Sophie Harris CEnv MSc MCIWEM C.WEM - Environmental Regulation and Response Manager at Thames Water
Sophie has worked in the highly regulated water industry for nearly two decades, overseeing the delivery of capital projects and working with both internal and external stakeholders at a strategic level to deliver sustainability outcomes. Today she leads a multi-skilled senior team of scientists and technical experts to ensure compliance with environmental regulation at Thames Water.
Sophie is passionate about sustainability and creating long term change to improve the environment. She has a BSc (hons) in Biology, an MSc in Environment Decision Making and is a Chartered Environmentalist through the Chartered Institute of Water and Environmental Management (CIWEM). In her spare time she enjoys mentoring others to become Chartered. Currently she is studying an Executive MBA at Cranfield School of Management.
Chandra Kripa Dwarakanath CEnv - Principal Consultant at Jacobs
Kripa is a member of the IES and a professional reviewer for Chartered Environmentalists. She has a first degree in architecture and further in environmental planning. Currently Kripa works as technical lead at Jacobs, providing Sustainability and Equality and Inclusion advisory on rail, aviation, built environment and development management projects. She describes herself as a generalist who has a good grasp of issues at a strategic level and often gets involved at programme level or prefeasibility stages in projects. Kripa has led several sustainability appraisals (SA) of Local Plans/ Core Strategy and was an Expert Witness candidate.
