Philllippa Pearson CEnv - Head of Water Services Science at Dwr Cymru Welsh Water

Phillippa Pearson is Head of Water Services Science at Welsh Water, a role she has held since 2018. Phillippa has worked in the water industry for 17 years; after completing her PhD at Aberystwyth University, Phillippa joined Severn Trent Water in 2003, before moving to Welsh Water in 2006. Phillippa has held a variety of operational roles within Science, Water Production and Distribution. In a previous role, Phillippa was responsible for establishing the Welsh Water Catchment Team and developing and delivering the award winning WaterSource catchment approach. Phillippa developed the Brecon Beacons Mega Catchment concept.

Phillippa is a Chartered Environmentalist and Chartered Scientist, and was named the Society of the Environment's Environmental Professional of the Year 2017 and was shortlisted for Chwarae Teg's Womanspire Leader of the Year 2017.

Becky Toal CEnv - Director at Crowberry Consulting

Becky became a CEnv in 2005 and has continued to be a Chartered Environmentalist since that time. Becky completed her BSc in Ecology in 1995, then completed a MSc in Environmental Impact Assessment, which she then followed with an MBA in Environmental Management. Her first sustainability role was the Environmental Manager for Natural England installing processes for environmental improvement across their office portfolio. Becky then moved to the Co-operative Group as Head of Environment for the business units including Retail, Funeralcare, Travelcare, Farmcare, Co-op Pharmacy, Distribution, and more obtaining ISO 14001 certification for the corporate functions and winning many environmental awards during this post. As a Full Member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment as the route to achieving the CEnv status.

In 2006 Becky took the decision to create Crowberry Consulting Ltd - enabling sustainable futures to support business on their sustainability journeys in the form of consultancy, audits and training delivery. Crowberry Consulting specialises in ISO management systems including ISO 14001 (environmental), ISO 50001 (energy) and ISO 20121 (events). The team are currently engaged with many high profile clients as well as SMEs to implement these standards, including the HMG for the COP 26 in Glasgow in 2021.
